Lovelite UK Teeth Whitening - My Experience

Lovelite UK is a teeth whitening service from the Harley Street Cosmetic Clinic London who have highly trained Lovelite technicians all over the UK to perform this service in your home and in cosmetic clinics.

After trying different at home whitening kits I still was not satisfied with the results so when I found there was a technician in my area I decided to research Lovelite and when reading up on the treatment which basically sounded amazing, and seeing how many celebrities used this service (Including the cast of TOWIE) I took the plunge!

So I got in touch with my local Lovelite technician and booked to visit her beauty room! She also does home visits and lots of other treatments I will link her details at the bottom of this post.

To be honest my teeth probably weren't too bad and people didn't understand why I wanted them done but comparing pictures (shown at bottom) there is a significant difference in colour!

My technician was a lovely lady called Sirelle who is well known in the North East for all her amazing beauty treatments, she was able to fit me in within a few weeks of contact and I couldn't bloody wait!

Teeth Before

This is the process of what I had done -
  •  First of all Sirelle asked me a few questions regarding my teeth i.e if I smoked etc
  • We then checked my teeth on a whiteness scale which to start I was shade 20 which was about halfway through the scale.
  • Next I lay down ready for the treatment and a mouth opener was put in to keep my mouth open during the treatment.
  • A vitamin E product was put on my lips to protect them and my teeth were cleaned
  • Next Sirelle placed a blue gum protectant onto my top and bottom gums around the teeth and this was left to dry for a few minutes
  • She then proceeded to prepare my teeth and place on the first bleach treatment!
  • once the first treatment was on I was placed under the Lovelite light for 20 minutes
  • After 20 minutes the bleach was cleaned off and another batch was put on, then back under the light for another 20 minutes.
  • After this the bleach was cleaned off to reveal my new whiteness!!
  • I rinsed my mouth with warm water to remove any residue
  • The gum protectant was removed and a hydrating treatment was put onto my teeth and gums
  • Then taaa daaa!! new sparkly teeth!!! down to the 3rd lightest shade on the scale!!!

Say Cheese!

I could not believe the results!!!

I would 100% recommend this treatment to anyone wanting fantastically white teeth!!

The treatment cost can vary from area to area from £100 - £350 but it is money well spent!

The service does claim to guarantee little or no sensitivity, I do have rather sensitive teeth through at home whitening so I did still expect some discomfort, which I did experience a little a few hours after but by heck it was worth it and it was easily taken care of with a rub of sensitive toothpaste!!

The aftercare consists of -
  • only white or cream food is to be consumed for 72 hours after treatment
  • only clear liquids or white liquids to be drank for 72 hours
  • do not brush your teeth for 24 hours prior to the treatment as the gel can still be active whitening your teeth! (yes that means you may wake up even whiter)
So for 3 days my diet consisted of chicken, bread, pasta and all that good kinda stuff! And lemonade through a straw!

I am now 4 days on from treatment and the results are still amazing, I do not drink coffee or smoke so the results should last a long time as I take good care of my teeth :)

Hope you enjoyed this post here's all of the information -

If you live in the North East contact Sirelle -

    1. please do not go to illegal tooth whitening technicians, only a dentist is allowed to perform tooth whitening. i'm shocked to find this blog recommending someone that is under investigation right now!

  2. Can i make comment on this blog and tell you that sirelle is not legally allowed to give tooth whitening. She is performing the service illegally as according to the dentist act 1984, only dentists are allowed to whiten teeth.
These "technicians" don't have insurance, they don't use sterile instruments or have any way to sterilise any that they do use. Please contact the general dental council website for clarification. i'm quite shocked to see a beauty blogger blogging about something that is illegal and recommending the service.

Section 38 of The Dentists Act 1984 makes it a criminal offence for a person who is not a registered dentist or a registered dental care professional to practise dentistry, or hold themselves out whether directly or by implication as practising or as being prepared to practise dentistry.

In accordance with section 38 of the Dentists Act, we have the power to bring criminal prosecutions where we have sufficient evidence that individuals are practising dentistry without being registered with us.

Under sections 41 or 43 of the Dentists Act we also have the power to bring a prosecution against an individual or company where it is operating the business of dentistry without the majority of its directors being registered with us.

Section 39 of the Dentists Act also makes it an offence for an individual to use any of the following titles, either alone or in combination with any other word, unless they are registered with us:

    Dentist
    Dental surgeon
    Dental practitioner
    Clinical dental technician
    Dental hygienist
    Dental nurse
    Dental technician
    Dental therapist
    Orthodontic therapist
In order to bring a criminal prosecution we need to obtain evidence that an offence has taken place.

If we receive information that an offence might be occurring we can instruct our investigators and solicitors to investigate and gather evidence. Once collected, this evidence goes through the two stage test set out in the code for crown prosecutors, to access whether a prosecution may be brought:

Is there sufficient evidence for there to be a realistic prospect of conviction?
If there is, is it in the public interest to pursue the matter to a prosecution?
Where these two tests are passed, our solicitors can take the case to the magistrates’ court. A fine can be imposed if the prosecution is successful.

    Previous prosecutions

Details of previous prosecutions brought by the GDC can be found in the news section

    1. She is not operating illegally as this form of teeth whitening contains no peroxide. Tooth whitening isn't classed as a dentistry procedure, but is classed as a cosmetic procedure which was made EU law in 2001. The law changed in 2012 which allows only dentists to administer peroxide containing products between 0.1% and 6% concentration. Since Sirelle is not using and form of peroxide, she isn't breaking any laws and is fully insurable for public liability. Nearly all dentists have been operating as illegally as the beauty therapists as 6% carbamide peroxide is useless at whitening teeth, so they use a more powerful concentration.

  4. Had to comment on this as it seems some people are confused as to what LoveLite teeth whitening really is. Its a beauty treatment for one, and nothing to do with dentistry or that industry.

I am a lovelite trained technician and can guarantee you that as a company we are not under investigation. The truth of the matter be that our product is so good, dentists are trying to shut the brand down as they are losing lots of money as this form of teeth whitening is a less painful and a lot cheaper.

But they have no chance and have been refused an investigation twice now, lets face it we are doing nothing wrong in providing a safer, pain-free service when getting your teeth whitened . For all those interested in LoveLite teeth whitening please do try, you will not be disappointed with the results and you will see why they have exploded over the last year.

Some people shouldn't write such vile comments as above because until they know the full story, they opinion is worthless. You have no facts, proof or knowledge behind what you are talking about so as far as "illegal Practice" goes....... Please feel free to report us it was be a total waste of time. We do not make out we are dentists, we make it clear from the start that this is a beauty treatment and nothing else. No one in the company is a fake dentist we are beauticians offering a non peroxide teeth whitening treatment.

  5. A cheaper and legal alternative that I use myself is to whiten my teeth at home with a non-peroxide kit. I have been using Stella white strips this year and the result has been really good.

  10. The GDC are more interested in their pocket rather than the interest of the customers. £400 for teeth whitening? really? NO wonder why they want to control the market for a simple treatment. they want to make it all sound dangerous and you have to be qualified etc.... I put peroxide on my skin while dying my hair. yeah yeah it go white and abit itchy to my finger but then it goes. It is not rixnet science like the GDC tells people. And by the way that idiot GDC post earlier, the 1984 act is dentistry. This is cosmetic teeth whitening and the chairside treatment did not even existed in 1984. Get real GDC and dint pull innocent people in your greedy tatics and promoting TV programmes whixh is not true. I was watching a watxh dog documentary and clearly it is endorsed by the GDC as there is only 1 way view. How terrible this is as the public or dieticians has no rights. The watch dog guy was in it with the GDC to make the show more entertaining with their TV editing technique. whats go behind the scene of watch dog regseding teeth whitening is unreal. They themselves together with the GDC should be on an exposed programme which I would love to represent. Look out GDC you're on my list to target. By the way, love lite products are rubbish!

  11. Did I hear dentistry or teeth whitening??? there is a big difference. Do you see teeth whitening in the quote below??

Section 38 of The Dentists Act 1984 makes it a criminal offence for a person who is not a registered dentist or a registered dental care professional to practise dentistry, or hold themselves out whether directly or by implication as practising or as being prepared to practise dentistry.

  12. Yes teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments and I personally believe them it is a lifesaver if you want to have instant results. The best thing is that you don't have to spend huge money. I also have been thinking to get the whitening treatment service from dentist Redondo Beach because I had it three years ago and now there is the need again.
